FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is this a real school? Yes, this is a real school. We are a registered Internal Revenue Service recognized 501 (c) 3 non-profit institution, are duly registered by the Texas Secretary of State, and we are authorized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to award up to a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Studies through the state’s exemption for religious schools.
Is this just a PO Box, or is there a real address? We receive mail at a PO Box, however, our registered physical address is 3700 Fredericksburg Rd, #219, San Antonio, TX 78201. However, as an online school, all classes are currently conducted online, and the registered address is a school office.
Are classes available online? Yes, all classes are currently available 100% online.
Is tuition really only $99? Yes, tuition is really only $99 per semester hour. Please note there are three primary costs to college education (other than normal living expenses). These are tuition, fees, and books. Once we are fully accredited, the planned tuition fee increase is $199 per semester hour (subject to change, of course).
What is the Student Grant Program? The Student Grant Program (SGP) provides the ability to pay for tuition for those who have a legitimate financial need. The SGP will pay for UP TO 100% of tuition, based on the actual, legitimate needs of the student. Students must still pay for books and fees.
How much are these books and fees? Books average approximately $100 per class, and fees are $199 per sixteen-week semester (about $50 per month). There is also a one-time $75 application fee.
What is the Military and First Responder Discount? First responders (police, fire, and medical) and members of the military or state defense force from any nation can receive a 50% tuition discount.
Is ICCS accredited? We are currently authorized to award Academic Certificates, Associate Degrees, and Bachelor Degrees through the religious exemption provided for under Texas law, issued by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board as well as the Career Schools and Colleges of the Texas Workforce Commission. Although we are working towards our plan to become accredited, the International College for Christian Studies (ICCS) in not currently accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. What are the plans for the future? Once we are fully accredited, we intend to build a brick-and-mortar campus in the San Antonio, TX area.
